Spring Road Ban Policy

New Spring Road Ban Policy                                     Updated March 10, 2021 (updates in italics)

The RM of Lacadena is implementing a trial spring road restriction policy.

Due to the wet road conditions and above 0 temperatures, effective immediately, travel over Spring Road Ban weights is restricted to -6 degrees C or colder or dry roads.  Primary weights may be hauled at -6 degrees or colder.

Any damage done to the roads can be charged to those responsible.

If warranted the RM may still implement the Minister of Highways Spring Road Ban

Any questions call the RM office at 306-375-4753 or email rm228@sasktel.net

Grid 647 Bridge restriction

The most recent bridge inspection on the bridge located ½ mile west of Highway 4 on Grid 647 has resulted in the recommendation to restrict the bridge to secondary weight.  In order to facilitate primary weight traffic, the following detour for primary weight loads is in place:

When hauling or having deliveries made, please inform your carriers of this detour.

Signs will be in place and this detour will remain until primary weight access is restored.

The RM is moving forward with repair/replacement.  We are securing funding to complete this project.

If you have any questions, please contact the office

Signage will be in place Monday February 27, 2023

There currently are fire restrictions at Sask Landing Provincial Park.

Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw Survey

The RM of Lacadena No 228 is working on a new Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw.  As a part of the process, the RM is asking community members to participate by filling out a brief survey.  This survey can be found online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6FKRZVW .

This survey will help the RM develop a vision and act as a guide in decision making with regards to development going forward.  It will inform consistent policies and processes as well as help respond to changes and prepare for the future.  It is an important step in having a say in this process.

Paper copies can be requested from the RM office by phone, email or mail.  The survey is open until Thursday July 14th 2022.
